What we collect

Room measurements, furniture details, listing links, optional reference files, support messages, optional email and your requests. A necessary session cookie keeps your saved places private to this browser. We record first-party funnel events and campaign tags to understand whether the service works. We do not use advertising pixels in this version.

How we use it

To create your layouts, fulfill requested reports, answer support questions, protect the service and measure service economics. Your plans and uploads are private by default. We do not sell your home data or share it with service providers without your explicit permission. Stripe handles payment details when checkout is available; we never receive card numbers.

Photo room modeling

When you request a photo preview and agree to processing, Placefold’s operator reviews your selected room photos with OpenAI to estimate walls, openings and furniture. Updates and the prepared preview appear in My places. You can cancel a pending request there. When automatic modeling is available, selected photos go directly to the OpenAI API after image metadata removal; we request no saved API response. OpenAI may retain data under its applicable data controls. Pictures are not shared publicly or included in analytics. Dimensions inferred from photos remain estimates until you check them.

Optional layout links

If you choose to share a room, we create a read-only snapshot of its dimensions, furniture footprints, measurement confirmations, keep priorities and three layouts. Custom names, listing links, addresses, photos and messages are excluded. Anyone with the link can view or copy the snapshot for up to seven days. Turn it off under Share layout, or delete your project, to stop future access. This does not remove copies someone already saved. Later edits to your private room do not change an existing snapshot.

Storage and control

Data is stored on our server with restricted access and encrypted transport. Projects, photo requests and reference files expire after 30 days. You can export your room or delete your data under My places. Minimal financial records may be retained where required for accounting. Your browser session is your access key: create a private recovery key or export before clearing cookies or changing devices.

Use the private support form in your saved place for privacy or deletion requests. We do not need photographs or an exact street address for a measured room fit check.
